Blackout Sony Orange Ring Customization

After the successful "Stealth" mod I did on my Sony A7r IV, I went it further to paint even the famous signature orange Sony ring. At first I was hesitant with the idea of painting it, so I tried a 3D printed ring cover I found on Thingiverse for the Sony A7 IV, but didn't fit perfectly and I gave up the idea for some time — I was afraid to screw up the camera somehow. Until I found a user on reddit that shared his successful attempt to black out his Sony a7c R entirely.

It wasn't easy as painting the rest of the camera, but I managed to do it after a couple of attempts. I masked the mount and used a cheap size 3 brush with enamel paint. It takes some time and patience, but if you do it carefully is very doable — you can easily remove the enamel with isopropyl alcohol if for some reason you mess it up. The hardest part for is was spreading the ink evenly across the ring. If looked closely you can see some imperfections, other than that it does almost look like a stock part. I'm pretty satisfied with the final result.
